Scotch Yoke

A mechanism that converts rotary motion to reciprocating linear motion (and vice versa) by a sliding yoke with an internal slot engaged by a crank pin or pin on a rotating member; motion is produced by the pin sliding in the slot so that slider displacement follows a sinusoidal-like profile when geometry is centered.
