Hecke Algebra

An associative algebra that is a deformation of a group algebra attached to a Coxeter group or an Iwahori subgroup, typically generated by elements T_s indexed by simple reflections with braid relations and quadratic deformations parametrized (commonly) by q; specializations recover the group algebra or other limit algebras.
