Zygomatic Bone

A paired facial bone (cheekbone) that forms the prominence of the cheek, contributes to the lateral orbital rim and floor, and articulates with the maxilla, frontal bone, temporal bone (zygomatic process of the temporal bone forming the zygomatic arch) and sphenoid; it provides attachment for facial muscles and protects orbital contents.
