Yeast Two-Hybrid Assay

A genetic assay that detects binary protein–protein interactions by expressing two fusion proteins in yeast: one fused to a DNA-binding domain (bait) and the other to a transcriptional activation domain (prey); physical interaction reconstitutes a functional transcription factor that drives a reporter gene.
