Thread Count

The number of warp (lengthwise) and weft (crosswise) yarns per unit length of woven fabric, commonly reported as the sum of warp and weft counts per square inch (or per centimetre). Thread count is a structural density measure and does not by itself describe yarn fineness, weave type or fabric performance.
