Temurah

A method of textual transformation that systematically substitutes, permutes or maps letters of an alphabet (for example, substitution ciphers such as Atbash or alphabetic transpositions) to derive alternative readings, symbolic correspondences, or mnemonic variants of words and phrases within a textual tradition.
