Tail Docking

A procedure that removes part of an animal’s tail by surgical excision, sharp instruments, or application of a constricting device, performed to achieve management, hygiene, injury prevention, or industry‑specified tail length; technique, timing and resultant residual tail length determine animal function and welfare outcomes.
