Spatial Interaction Model

A quantitative or conceptual framework that represents flows of people, goods, information or activities between locations as functions of distance, connectivity, attractiveness (size, population, economic weight), and intervening opportunities; examples include gravity models and intervening‑opportunities formulations used to generate, test or simulate spatial hypotheses.
