Singular Limit

A limiting process in which the qualitative or structural behavior of solutions, equations, or geometric objects changes as a parameter tends to a limit value, typically causing loss of regularity, change of equation type, appearance of boundary or interior layers, or concentration phenomena that are not captured by straightforward uniform limits.
