Shadow Fading

A slow, spatially correlated variation of the large‑scale received signal power caused by obstacles (buildings, terrain, foliage) blocking or attenuating propagation paths; commonly modeled statistically as a log‑normal random variable (additive in dB) that varies over distances larger than the coherence length of small‑scale fading.
