Scrambling

A deterministic, reversible transformation that combines a data bit sequence with a pseudo‑random sequence (scrambler) at the transmitter and the matching descrambler at the receiver to remove long runs, reduce spectral lines, aid clock recovery and shape the transmitted spectrum; it is a signal‑conditioning operation, not encryption.
