Round-Trip Efficiency

The ratio of usable energy recovered from an energy storage system to the energy input required to store it, measured over a complete charge–discharge cycle and typically expressed as a percentage; the metric accounts for losses during storage, conversion and ancillary parasitic loads when these are included in the energy accounting.
