Probabilistic Number Theory
Definition
An approach in analytic and multiplicative number theory that models arithmetic functions and sequences by probabilistic or statistical laws to study typical or average behaviours (normal order, distributions, moments), using independence heuristics, central limit phenomena and large-deviation estimates to predict and prove distributional results.
