Pragmatic Judgment Task

An experimental elicitation in which participants assess the acceptability, appropriateness, or intended interpretation of utterances given an explicit or implied communicative context; used to probe speakers’ pragmatic competence (contextual inference, implicature, speech-act appropriateness) rather than purely semantic or syntactic well‑formedness.
