The vertical overlap of the maxillary anterior teeth over the mandibular anterior teeth measured in centric occlusion, expressed either as an absolute linear distance (mm) between incisal edges or as a percentage of the clinical crown height of the mandibular incisors covered by the maxillary incisors.
