Numeric Rating Scale for Pain

A unidimensional patient‑reported numeric scale in which individuals rate pain intensity on an ordered numeric range—commonly 0 (no pain) to 10 (worst imaginable pain)—used to quantify current, average, or worst pain when the respondent can reliably map subjective intensity to numbers.
