Nightingale's Environmental Theory

A nursing theory that locates patient recovery and well‑being substantially in modifiable features of the immediate physical environment—cleanliness, ventilation, light, noise control, sanitation, nutrition and organization of care—and whose operative claim is that deliberate nursing actions to optimize these environmental conditions facilitate healing, reduce iatrogenic risk, and support physiolo
