Negative Pressure Wound Therapy

A wound management technique that applies controlled subatmospheric pressure to a wound through a sealed interface and drainage system (dressing, interface material, tubing, and collection) to remove exudate, reduce interstitial edema, and provide mechanical forces that can support granulation tissue formation and wound contraction.
