Methods Engineering

A systematic discipline for analysing, designing and documenting the sequence, layout and procedures by which tasks are performed at a workstation or process so as to achieve stated objectives for productivity, quality, safety and ergonomics; it includes selecting work elements, specifying standard work, and controlling flows and information necessary to execute the method.
