Mean Average Precision (MAP)

An aggregate retrieval effectiveness measure computed as the arithmetic mean, across queries, of each query's average precision (AP). AP is the mean of precision values computed at the ranks where relevant documents appear in a ranked list, effectively approximating the area under the precision–recall curve for that query under binary relevance judgments.
