Curatorial unit responsible for acquiring, accessioning, arranging, describing, preserving, and providing controlled access to unique, unpublished, or original manuscript materials (autograph papers, letters, drafts, archives, and other hand-produced documents), with policies addressing provenance, authenticity, conservation, and use restrictions.
