Mandibular Canal

A bony canal within the body of the mandible that transmits the inferior alveolar neurovascular bundle (inferior alveolar nerve, artery and vein) from the mandibular foramen posteriorly toward the mental foramen anteriorly, providing a protected intrabony route for sensory and vascular supply of the mandibular teeth and adjacent tissues.
