Laser Doppler Vibrometry

Non‑contact optical technique that measures the velocity (and, by integration, displacement) of a vibrating surface by detecting the Doppler frequency shift of backscattered coherent laser light; available as single‑point, scanning or multi‑point systems, and sensitive to the velocity component along the laser line‑of‑sight and to surface optical properties.
