Kutta–Joukowski Theorem

The Kutta–Joukowski Theorem relates the lift per unit span L' on a two‑dimensional body in a steady, incompressible, inviscid flow to the circulation Γ around the body: L' = ρ∞ V∞ Γ, where ρ∞ and V∞ are freestream density and velocity and Γ = ∮ v·ds is the line integral of tangential velocity around a closed contour enclosing the body.
