A circulation‑selection rule for steady lifting flows over bodies with a sharp trailing edge which requires the flow to leave the trailing edge smoothly (no infinite velocity singularity), thereby selecting the physical bound circulation among the family of inviscid potential‑flow solutions and enabling lift prediction in that model class.
