Kinematic Viscosity

The ratio of a fluid's dynamic viscosity μ to its mass density ρ, ν = μ/ρ, with SI units m2·s−1; it quantifies momentum diffusivity and the rate at which velocity gradients spread through a continuum fluid under the assumptions of Newtonian behaviour and the continuum hypothesis.
