Internet Exchange Membership

The contractual and operational relationship by which a network obtains physical or virtual access (port, VLAN or virtual connection) to an IXP's switching fabric and accepts the exchange's terms of service, technical requirements and peering policy, thereby gaining the right to request peering and to use provided services subject to those conditions.
