Intensive Property

A property of a physical or conceptual system whose numerical value does not depend on the system’s overall size or extent and that is not additive over disjoint subsystems (e.g., temperature, pressure, density). It is defined operationally by a measurement procedure applicable to parts of the system and distinguished from extensive properties that scale with system size.
