Zilber Trichotomy

A proposed classification principle in geometric model theory asserting that a certain strongly minimal structure (or strongly minimal set) must fall into exactly one of three archetypal geometries: disintegrated (trivial), vector-space-like (locally modular), or field-like (interpreting an algebraically closed field). It is stated as a structural alternative for strongly minimal sets.
