Uterine Rupture

A full‑thickness tear through the uterine wall involving the endometrium, myometrium and serosa (or their equivalents in non‑human species), resulting in communication between the uterine lumen and the peritoneal cavity or external environment and commonly producing haemorrhage and contamination.
