Ultrasound Imaging

A diagnostic imaging modality that uses high-frequency sound waves and the timing and amplitude of their echoes to produce real‑time visualizations of soft tissues, organ structure and, using Doppler techniques, blood flow; it is non‑ionizing and fundamentally limited by acoustic penetration, operator technique, and the presence of gas or bone.
