Technology Transfer

Deliberate processes and mechanisms by which technology, designs, methods, or technical knowledge (including both codified and tacit components) are moved, adapted, or licensed from one organisation, sector, or region to another so that the recipient can implement, reproduce, or build upon them.

The movement, adoption and adaptation of technologies, technical practices and tacit knowledge across organizations, communities, regions or time periods, encompassing formal mechanisms (licenses, training) and informal channels (migration of skilled workers, imitation).
