Standard Model (Particle Physics)

A relativistic quantum field theory framework that classifies the known elementary fermions and gauge bosons and organizes the electromagnetic, weak, and strong interactions into a single renormalizable set of fields and couplings; it incorporates the Higgs mechanism for mass generation but does not include a quantum theory of gravity.
