Renal Glomerulus

A capillary tuft located within Bowman's capsule of a nephron that provides the initial ultrafiltration barrier between plasma and the nephron lumen, permitting passage of water and small solutes while restricting most proteins and blood cells to form an ultrafiltrate that enters the tubular system.
