Q10 Temperature Coefficient

A dimensionless factor that quantifies how much the rate of a biological or chemical process changes for a 10 °C increase in temperature, commonly expressed as Q10 = rate(T + 10 °C) / rate(T); it is an empirical approximation valid over limited temperature intervals and for processes that follow approximately exponential temperature dependence.
