Pump–Probe Spectroscopy
Definition
A time-resolved optical (or other electromagnetic) technique in which an initial pump pulse perturbs a system and a time-delayed probe pulse measures the subsequent transient response, allowing mapping of ultrafast population, coherence and relaxation dynamics.
