A coordinated governance and information process that manages a product’s technical data, decisions, stakeholders, and transitions across its stages from concept and design through production, market introduction, use/maintenance and eventual retirement or disposal, so that changes, versions and responsibilities are recorded, traceable and actionable within the organization and its supply network.
