Particle Size Distribution

A quantitative description of the proportions of particles of different sizes within a powdered or dispersed system, specified as a distribution by number, area, volume or mass (e.g., percent finer than a given diameter or percentile measures such as D50). The PSD is defined by the measurement metric and method used (sieving, laser diffraction, microscopy, etc.).
