Modal Structure

The configuration of modal relations—such as necessity, possibility, contingency, and their variants (alethic, epistemic, deontic, etc.)—that governs how propositions, states or entities relate across alternative ways the world might be; it specifies which modal claims are sanctioned and how modal inferences and counterfactual or normative evaluations are to be conducted.
