Laplace's Law

A physical relationship that relates transmural pressure, geometry, and wall tension or stress in thin‑walled hollow structures: for an idealized thin spherical or cylindrical shell, wall tension (or circumferential wall stress) is proportional to internal pressure times radius and inversely proportional to wall thickness.
