Human Rights Impact Assessment

A systematic, often iterative, method for identifying, predicting, and assessing the potential or actual effects of policies, laws, programs, or projects on internationally and/or domestically recognized human rights; it includes mapping rights at stake, affected groups, magnitude and likelihood of harms and benefits, and recommending mitigation, monitoring, and remediation measures.
