Gunning Fog Index

A readability metric estimating the years of formal education required to understand a text on first reading, calculated from average sentence length and the percentage of complex words (typically words of three or more syllables), commonly expressed as Fog = 0.4 × [(words/sentences) + 100 × (complex words / words)].
