Fatigue Strength

The maximum cyclic stress amplitude (often specified with mean stress, load ratio R and number of cycles N) that a dental material can sustain for a defined number of loading cycles without macroscopic failure; fatigue strength is inherently cycle‑dependent and sensitive to surface condition, environment and frequency.
