Eye Diagram

A time-domain oscilloscope visualization created by superimposing many successive symbol intervals of a digital signal so that amplitude versus time patterns reveal the receiver's sampling margin, timing uncertainty, intersymbol interference and noise-induced closure commonly summarized as the 'eye' opening.
