Experimental Metaphysics

An interdisciplinary approach that uses empirical methods, experimental data, or findings from the sciences and social sciences to test, constrain, or inform traditional metaphysical questions (such as causation, persistence, modality, or mental phenomena) without presupposing that metaphysical claims reduce straightforwardly to empirical descriptions.
