Drug–Device Interaction

Any effect arising when a pharmaceutical product and a medical device are used together (co‑administered, co‑packaged, combined, or interacting within the same patient or system) that changes the drug’s pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety profile, stability or delivery, or that alters the device’s performance, materials compatibility, sterility, electrical function or intended use.
