Degree of Conversion (DC)

The proportion (typically expressed as a percentage) of reactive monomer double bonds (e.g., methacrylate C=C) that have been chemically converted into polymer network bonds in a resin‑based dental material after a specified curing protocol and time; DC is spatially and temporally variable and commonly measured by spectroscopic methods (FTIR or Raman).
