Dahl Concept

An occlusal management technique that purposefully increases localized occlusal vertical dimension or anterior tooth height (commonly by anterior restorations or appliances) to create interocclusal space, permitting relative posterior eruption and/or intrusion of contacting teeth until a new occlusal equilibrium is achieved without extensive reduction of sound dentition.
