A non‑load‑bearing exterior building envelope assembly, typically of lightweight framed panels (glass, metal, stone veneer), that hangs from or is attached to the building structural frame, provides weatherproofing, thermal and acoustic separation, and transfers wind and gravity loads to the structure through designed connections rather than carrying building gravity loads.
