Cultural Hegemony

A condition in which the values, meanings, and worldviews of a dominant social group become widely accepted as common sense across institutions and everyday practices, thereby legitimizing and reproducing existing power relations through consent, discourse, and cultural practices rather than by sole reliance on coercion.
